New Zealand is divided to North and South Island, China exports both 2 islands. But due to relatively developed in North Island, not a little cargo, especially those shipped via LCL(less than full container load), arrives at North Island important city Auckland at first. Cargo final to South Island, then has to transit via it. During it, to unload in Auckland and then reload container or truck to South Island. Such additional time, cost and potential safety risks bring troubles to importer in South Island.
