To stop COVID-19 spread, vaccine airplane charter starts
On
the evening of December 6, 2020, after intensive testing, customs declaration,
security check and loading to airplane, the Indonesian government purchased 1.2
million vaccine worth US$18 million, departed from Beijing airport China and
arrived at Jakarta Airport safely same day.
Since August 2020, the Indonesian government has been conducting pre-clinical
tests in Bandung, West Java. This charter flight prepares for large-scale
population vaccination and prevents spread of COVID-19. The charter flight
project was launched in early December, following is the specific
transportation process,
All vaccines in cold-chained sent from factory to Air China Cargo Terminal at
Beijing Capital International Airport at 3AM, December 5. Operation completed
at 5AM, customs clearance released in the same morning. Then 24 hours stay in
airport per security check request. After that envirotainer loaded into plane
in the noon of Dec 6, the plane took off at 15:33 and arrived at Indonesian Jakarta
airport that evening.

2022.
